Travel with us to be enthralled as we travel along the legendary scenic drive that loops around the huge Gaspe Peninsula.
July 31 – Our first day will be a leisurely drive to northern New Brunswick stopping for lunch at the popular Atlantic Host before continuing on to see the world’s largest salmon at Campbellton Tourist Centre. We will travel along the picturesque Matapedia River that winds through the beautiful Matapedia Valley. Tonight’s accommodation is at the Motel Le Gaspésiana 800-404-8233, located on the shores of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, giving you an evening to enjoy the unique gift shops and stroll the shores, maybe catch a glimpse of whales frolicking before your eyes.
August 1 – Following a delicious breakfast we will begin another scenic Gaspe Experience making numerous photo stops, visiting Centre d’Art Marcle Gagnon – a quaint waterfront Art Gallery featuring extraordinary art work – before enjoying a leisurely morning at the “must see” Reford Gardens – enjoying over 3,000 plant varieties before departing we will enjoy touring the elegant Estevan Lodge, also known as the Villa Reford – formerly, Elsie Reford’s summer home. We will begin our journey along the picturesque St. Lawrence River making numerous stops of interest towards our night’s accommodations at the TBA .
August 2 – Following a delicious breakfast we will begin another scenic Gaspe experience making numerous photo stops, visiting historic lighthouse, churches and other points of interest along the mighty coast to another impressive property located in Gaspe City Hotel des Baker 418-368-3355.
August 3 – Today we will have the opportunity to see one of Canada’s icons – a huge ship-shaped rock – Perce Rock. We will enjoy a cruise in the enclosed Captain Dorval II and we will sail around the splendid Perce Rock and neighboring Bonaventure Island, where North America’s largest colony of gannets show off for us. We will take time to browse the many unique shops in Perce. Tonight’s lodging is at the Carlton Hostellerie Baie Bleue 800-463-9099. located on the beautiful shores of the Baie de Chaleur. A delightful destination for another French Cuisine Meal.
August 4 – Our footsteps will take us home with wonderful memories and wonderful new friends.
